Reasons for Site Inspection:

Gain clarity of the extent of the proposed removal and replacement of windows.

Findings of Site Inspection:

On arriving on site is was noted that the scaffolding was already being put up on the Hof Street side of the building. Work had already commenced as some of the top floor windows had already been removed and replaced with aluminium windows. Also there was a steel structure erected to the Hof Street side of the building. No permit has been applied for for this structure.

Recommended Action:

A STOP WORKS needs to be issued to put a halt to any other work, Case Officer to investigate whether plans have been submitted for the steel structure. This item is to return to the next HOMS meeting. It is recommended that due to the controversial nature of the application and that work has already commenced on site this item should go to the next BELCOM meeting.

Managers Comments:

is site inspection was conducted as per the decision of HOMS.
