Met on Site By:
None
Reasons for Site Inspection:
Members of the community were concerned that the approved plans (stamped by HWC on 10/12/14) were not being implemented by the proposed work done on site and changed the character of the streetscape and building. HWC Officials were told to inspect and compare the approved plans to the current work being done on site and whether they have deviated.
Findings of Site Inspection:
HWC Officials found that there were indeed deviations which include an extra floor and one or two new windows. However the Officials note that these deviations were minor as well as the building being graded as "ungradable" by HWC. Therefore the Officials suggest that there is no need for further action to be taken by HWC.
Recommended Action:
HWC Officials to recommend to the concerned parties to take up the issue with the Municipal building inspectors as the heritage aspects of the current work have been dealt with and the deviations does not have a detrimental impact on cultural heritage significance of the building or the streetscape.
